No fancy studio - just an understanding of light.
Shooting on a building site...I just want to show you that a big fancy studio or lights aren’t always needed to get a beautiful clear shot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We were in the middle of building my studio (in SA) and I had just bought these lovely tiles for my entrance. I loved the pattern and soft grey and thought that they’d make the perfect backdrop for some eggs.
I wanted soft bright light to create a fresh bright morning feel, so I set up next to a glass door on the raw concrete floor of my building site and used a huge reflector balancing over the scene to soften the shadows. I think my makeshift set-up worked really well. Sometimes it’s just a case of understanding the light and using what you have.
