Come and immerse yourself in a world of pattern and colour at a Block Printing Workshop! Join me, Karené and learn about printing pattern onto textiles with relief blocks. Using wooden blocks from India, we will print onto a sheet of paper for gift wrap and then onto a fabric tea towel.

About the event
Come and immerse yourself in a world of pattern and colour at our ever popular Block Printing Workshop! Join me and learn about printing pattern onto textiles with relief blocks.
We will use hand-carved wooden blocks from India, to explore pattern repeats. You will learn how to get the inking and the pressure just right and then create your own combinations of colour and motifs. First we will print onto a sheet of paper for gift wrap and then onto a fabric tea towel.
The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there's something really satisfying and exciting about gradually seeing a pattern grow on your fabric.
