Join me at Creative Block, for my first block printing workshop in Glasgow! We will use wooden blocks from India to print onto paper and you can choose between a tea towel OR a tote bag for your fabric item. With a wide choice of colours and motifs - the possibilities for your designs are endless.

Join Karené for this introduction to Block Printing and learn all about printing pattern onto textiles with wooden relief blocks.
The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there is something really satisfying and exciting about gradually seeing a pattern grow on your fabric.
We will use hand-carved wooden blocks from India to explore pattern repeats. You will learn how to get the inking and the pressure just right and then combine your own choice of colour and motifs to create your own unique pattern design.
You will first print your design onto a large sheet of paper (for gift wrap, bookbinding or other crafts) and then you will have the choice between printing onto a fabric tea towel or a tote bag.
